В ста­тье мы со­бра­ли несколь­ко по­лез­ных слов и фраз для опи­са­ния столб­ча­тых диа­грамм в за­да­нии 1 пись­мен­ной ча­сти IELTS academic:

• Show: для ука­за­ния на дан­ные, отоб­ра­жа­е­мые на диа­грам­ме. Ча­сто ис­поль­зу­ет­ся во вве­де­нии.

Example: The bar chart shows the number of students enrolled in each course.

• Reflect: для опи­са­ния то­го, как дан­ные от­ра­жа­ют бо­лее круп­ную си­ту­а­цию или про­бле­му

Example: The chart reflects the growing concern for environmental sustainability.

• Overall: Нач­ни­те overview (об­щее за­яв­ле­ние о гра­фи­ке) с это­го сло­ва.

Example: Overall, the chart shows a clear trend of increasing sales over the five-year period.

• Demonstrate a pattern: для опи­са­ния по­вто­ря­ю­ще­го­ся или по­сле­до­ва­тель­но­го по­ве­де­ния в дан­ных.

Example: The data demonstrates a pattern of higher sales during the summer month

• Trend: для опи­са­ния трен­да (об­ще­го на­прав­ле­ния)

Example: The chart shows a downward trend in the number of students taking science courses.

• Fluctuate: для опи­са­ния по­ка­за­те­лей, ко­то­рые по­сте­пен­но сни­жа­ют­ся и по­вы­ша­ют­ся.

Example: The sales figures fluctuated throughout the year, with the highest point in June.

• Peak: для опи­са­ния наи­выс­шей точ­ки в на­бо­ре дан­ных.

Example: The chart shows that crime rates reached a peak in the year 2010.

• Bottom out: для опи­са­ния низ­шей точ­ки трен­да.

Example: The sales of the product bottomed out in December.

• Remain steady/ remain constant: для опи­са­ния устой­чи­во­го или по­сто­ян­но­го на­бо­ра дан­ных.

Example: The number of employees at the company remained steady over the past year.

• Exceed: чтобы опи­сать один на­бор дан­ных, ко­то­рый боль­ше или вы­ше, чем дру­гой.

Example: Sales in North America exceed those in South America.

• Be below: чтобы опи­сать один на­бор дан­ных, ко­то­рый мень­ше или ни­же, чем дру­гой.

Example: The unemployment rate in City A is below that of City B.

• Increase/ show an increase: для опи­са­ния ро­ста

Example: The number of tourists to the region is increasing every year.

• Experience a surge: для опи­са­ния вне­зап­но­го рез­ко­го ро­ста

Example: The website experienced a surge in traffic after the new product launch.

• Decrease/ show a decrease: для опи­са­ния по­сте­пен­но­го спа­да или со­кра­ще­ния.

Example: The share of cash payments is decreasing due to the growing popularity of contactless payments.

• Plunge: для опи­са­ния рез­ко­го и кру­то­го сни­же­ния.

Example: The stock prices plunged after the company announced poor earnings

• Demonstrate strong growth/decline: для опи­са­ния боль­шо­го из­ме­не­ния в дан­ных

Example: Our company’s sales demonstrate strong growth in the last quarter.
